Make Room…

heavens
John 15:7

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

Make room are the words I am hearing and prepare for the manifestation of My promise is the thought that is lingering in the recesses of my mind…

There are some requests that I have asked of my heavenly Father and there are some promises that He has spoken to my heart… and now is the time…

Have you ever been in a time…a place…a spot…a space in your life where you knew, that you knew, that you knew, that you were about to enter into the fulfillment of a promise?  Now before you actually step into that promise, there is something that needs to occur.  It is called preparation

Preparation is the work or planning involved
in making something or someone ready.

How has God been instructing you to prepare?  Have you been obedient to those instructions?  Are you ready for what He wants to do in your life?  Have you made room for His promises?

Prepare yourself by spending time in His presence and in His Word
Abide in Him – His presence will prepare your spirit to receive…
Allow His Words to abide in you – they will prepare your mind to receive…

I am praying that you are making room for the fullness of God’s unfailing love in your life…

Possibilities…

…Everything is possible for him who believes.  – Mark 9:23

Do you have a vision for your life?  What do you have your eyes set on?

I watched a movie some time ago, where the main character had a book of possibilities… Everything that she dreamed or imagined for her life, she would find a graphic representation and place it in her book of possibilities.  I have a friend who does something similar as she helps people create vision boards.  The concept is simple.  Place the target in front of you, so that you have somewhere to aim.

I encourage you to take time each day to see yourself being who you were created to be and doing those things that you were created to do.  With God all things are possible!

Remember to be REAL…

Remain Flexible

Hebrews 3:7-9
So, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert, where your fathers tested and tried me and for forty years saw what I did.

Inflexible:  adhering firmly to a viewpoint or principle; firmly established and impossible to change; stiff and bendable only with difficulty.

God is speaking to you, today…  Are you listening?  What instructions has He given you?

You know the Bible tells us how we are to live.  And the way in which we are to live our lives is by faith.

Faith requires belief and faith also requires action.  Living a life of faith requires that we believe what God has said and that we do what He has told us to do.

So again I say, God is speaking to you, today!  Are you listening?  Are you following His instructions?

Do not harden your hearts through unbelief or choose to live a faithless life wherein God is not pleased.  Instead choose to remain flexible, be teachable and follow the instructions that He has given you.  He truly has your best interest at heart!

Remember to be REAL…

Need a change?

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.  — Romans 12:2

Change:  to become different, or make something or someone different; to exchange, substitute, or replace something.

What do you believe?

I am successful…

I am a failure…

I am victorious…

I am defeated…

I am one of a kind…

There’s nothing special about me…

I am beautiful…

I am not attractive…

I can accomplish my goals…

I can’t do anything right…

The Model of Change says…

Change your belief and you’ll change your thoughts

Change your thoughts and you’ll change your behavior

Change your behavior and you’ll change your life

Change begins with you!  So what are you waiting for?

Remember to be REAL…

Waiting…

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.      – Isaiah 40:31

Do you ever feel as though life is passing you by as you are waiting for your moment, your opportunity or your desire to be manifested?

Some think of waiting as just a waste of time.  But have you ever thought of waiting as a time of preparation for you?

Preparation: the work or planning involved in making something or somebody ready or in putting something together in advance.

Instead of thinking that you’re ready and just waiting on God’s timing, how about thinking of it this way, God’s timing is giving you the opportunity to be truly ready.

Waiting requires patience in the process, expectation of the results and trust in a loving God.  Waiting brings renewed strength and strength is what you need for your journey!

Remember to be REAL…

Time to love YOU

Luke 10:27
…Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind;
and, love your neighbor as yourself.

We are encouraged to love God, love others and yes even to love self.

Love is patient… Love always perseveres (endures long)…

Are you patient with yourself?  Are you willing to endure the test of time to bring about a change in you?  Are you willing to persevere through obstacles to be the best you?

If not, then you are not loving yourself.

My passion is to help others be there best from the inside out!

To love wholly (fully)  is to love God, love others AND love yourself.  Loving in two out of three of those areas means you are only loving fractionally… and the goal in being the BEST YOU is to be whole in every area of life including your love walk.

Loving yourself allows you to be true in your relationships with others.

To be your best You is to walk out your journey, living the REAL You… the authentic you… the YOU that God fearfully and wonderfully made…His masterpiece!

Loving yourself God’s way is not selfish…

Remember to be REAL…

Love On Purpose

A new command I give you: Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
John 13:34

Love.On.Purpose

Purpose:  the desire or the resolve necessary to accomplish a goal.

There is s decision, a determination that comes when we do something on purpose.

Today determine to be selfless…

Today desire to love God’s way…

Today decide to love the person that is right in front of you…

Whether or not the person is deserving…

…you choose the more excellent way… LOVE!

Remember to be REAL…

Hope motivates…

Romans 15:13 (NLT)
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Have you ever heard that phrase? Have you ever said that phrase?

Just what does that light at the end of the tunnel represent?  Hope…

The hope that even though the place you are in right now might seem dark or confined or unfamiliar, you can see that there is light ahead.

Hope is the motivation to keep going… to keep moving forward… moment by moment and day by day toward your goals… dreams… aspirations…

This hope is not just wishful thinking…  This hope is earnest expectation… a confident belief that what you desire will happen.

Confident:  certain of having the ability, judgment and resources needed to succeed.

The source of this hope… this earnest expectation… this confident belief is none other than God.

Do you know Him… Do you trust Him…

Remember to be REAL…

I’d rather say…

James 4:14 (NLT)
How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.

…so long or see you later because goodbye seems so final.

And although I am not certain how long it will be, I know that I will see you again.

Have you ever experienced that place right between sad and glad?  You know the point where the former existence of a life ends, but the new existence of that same life begins in eternity…

On one hand you are sad because you won’t get to visit with them or call them up on the telephone to say hello.  BUT on the other hand you’re glad because you know that one day you will be reunited with them.

Today I am reminded of the closing lyrics of the song It’s so Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday:

And I’ll take with me the memories
To be my sunshine after the rain
It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.

I am thankful for good memories…

Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not promised but TODAY is a GIFT!

Remember to be REAL…

Can you hear Him?

1 Kings 19:11-12
The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.”  Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.

Can you hear Him?  Who?  I’m talking about God, Abba Father.  Can you hear Him?  He’s whispering sweet somethings in your ear.  You are loved… you are valued… you are unique… you are treasured… you are trusted… you are mine…

Can you hear Him?  He’s giving you direction and speaking wisdom.  Turn here… do this… say that… go there… Can you hear Him? He’s letting you know that He is here for you…

Can you hear Him?  If not, why?  Are the cares of this world overwhelming you?  Are you distracted by the media? Or are you allowing the circumstances of life to drown out His voice?

You ask:
What about the wind?
What about the earthquake?
What about the fire?

God was not in those things.  BUT He is speaking to you in spite of those things.

He is speaking…  Can you hear His still small voice… The God who is LOVE has something important to tell you.  His words – I LOVE YOU!

Can you hear Him?
