Amazing Grace

Grace is Amazing

1 Corinthians 1:4
I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus.

Amazing grace…how sweet the sound

that saved a wretch like me

I once was lost…but now I’m found

was blind, but now I see

Ahhh…the sounds of grace.  Whether you are extending grace or receiving grace, the sound is oh, so sweet.

During the next few weeks our focus is going to be on GRACE… in families; while working with others; during challenging times and grace just for you.

I have some amazing friends that will join us in this gracious conversation, sharing their experience and insight.  I hope that you too will join the conversation; just click comments and share your ideas and opinions.

Question:  When you hear the song “Amazing Grace” or reflect on the lyrics, what thoughts, images or experiences are you reminded of?

I am looking forward to our REAL conversation…

  1. Honestly, it always reminds me of my kids because it's the song I sing when they are crying and are having a hard time calming down. I see myself walking with my kids (when they were babies), patting their back and singing to them. Always works!

    1. That's beautiful… the song always soothes me. I'll have to remember to sing Amazing Grace to calm the kiddos too!

  2. My favorite of all hymns for it speaks to the heart! Blessed to receive and give Grace that saves all who cry out to HIM!

    1. Yes it does speak to the heart. I'm so thankful to have the opportunity extend grace as well as receive it…

  3. I always think of my salvation, because of God's Amazing Grace I'm saved!!! And I'm in my good sound, strong mind!!! The things I went through in 1975 almost took my mind, but God kept me and is still keeping me and it's all because of his "Amazing Grace"!!!
Love you and have a tremendous evening.

  4. God's Grace is truly amazing. He gives it to us and we don't deserve it. He gives us mercy, forgiveness, peace, wisdom and the list goes on.We don't have to do anything for it except to…..accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, then we are part of the family and receive all of the benefits. It doesn't make sense in our natural mind, but that is how God is, we should not try to understand him with our natural mind but in our heart our spirit man. Yes His love and grace are truly amazing.

    1. Thanks for sharing that key… we should not try to understand Him with our natural mind! His ways and thoughts are much different than ours. We should freely receive His grace and freely give His grace to others…

  5. It took me a while to understand grace. I sang the song for a long time, without knowing what it meant. Slowly, the words unfolded in my heart…it is by grace you are saved, through faith and even that is a gift from God.

Now? I can barely sing the song without crying.
    Grace saved me. For good.

    1. Wow…I am so thankful for HIS grace that saved me…not based on my performance ONLY because of HIS love!
