Previously we looked at how God expects us to live our lives…by Faith.
I have often heard hope referred to as earnest expectation. Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen (Hebrews 11:1). It seems to me that faith and hope are connected, in that you cannot operate in faith without having hope. I have also read in Galatians 5:6 that faith works through or by love. It would also seem that faith cannot fully operate unless it is through love.
Faith, hope and love work together and we are told that these three will remain through eternity (1 Corinthians 13:13). These are foundational characteristics that we need in this life and in the life to come.
I came across this scripture – the creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. The Bible defines the ‘sons of God’. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God (Matthew 5:9). Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God (Romans 8:14). You are all the sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:26).
When we have faith in Christ Jesus, when we allow ourselves to be led by the Spirit of God and when we are peacemakers then we will be revealed as the sons of God. We should ask ourselves this question: Am I still hidden? Selah…
