Just Do It

James 1:22
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

Have you ever heard the word and agreed with it, but never really did what you heard?  You agree in theory, but have not yet had the opportunity to put it into practice.  I believe this happens far more often than we realize.  For example, growing up, my mom would always say, “Baby you just gotta love.”  No matter what the situation or circumstance, her response was LOVE.

Now it is very easy to love those who love you; those that are giving and kind and respectful.  But what about when someone is selfish and mean and disrespectful to you; is it easy to love that person?  We are instructed to love God and love others.  How many times have you heard this?  There is no conditional clause; you and I are to love period.  It does not matter how many times you hear this, it is the actual putting it into practice that yields results.

We are told that if we merely listen or hear then we deceive ourselves.  Hearing the Word does not equal doing (ACTION) the Word.  Want results?  Then just Do ITWhat is it that you need to just do:  love, forgive, forget, press forward?  It’s time…

Remember to be REAL…
