When you hear the phrase “you are one-of-a-kind”, do you internally process that as a negative or a positive statement? For me, I see that phrase in a positive light, as a compliment. It indicates that someone has recognized a unique quality about me. To be unique is to be very special, unusual or good; it suggests not like anything or anyone else. And that is precisely how God created each one of us.
The work that you have to do and what you are designed to accomplish was determined long ago by the One who created you. Notice the things that He planned are good. I believe it is a waste of time to go through life miserable and unfulfilled. You only have one life, so make it count!
You cannot change your past,

In her latest book Clout: Discover and Unleash Your God-Given Influence Jenni Catron says, “Your God-given influence defines your purpose. Your purpose establishes your leadership. Your leadership makes a mark on the world.” Jenni refers to God-given influence as clout. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines clout as the power to influence or control situations. It seems that recognizing and understanding the influence that God has given you is foundational to becoming the best you.
I was listening to a podcast recently and the speaker made this challenge: 1) Take responsibility for where you currently are in life and 2) Take responsibility for your future. If you are going to be who you were created to be and do what you were created to do, then it is up to you. God has provided you with everything necessary, now it’s up to you to make your life count. You are one of a kind!
