There are many people today that are unhappy with their lives. They feel that they do not have what they need. Did you know that life is a series of deposits and withdrawals? What you put in is what you get out. Seems like a rather simple concept right? Now it does not mean that at times you will not face circumstances or situations, but it does determine the tools you will have to get through those times.
Picture your bank account. You deposit money into your account so that you will have those funds available when you need to use them. If you make a purchase that is more than the funds you have deposited, then the result is an overdrawn status. Being overdrawn can result in extra fees you have to pay. It can also affect your reputation. The goal would be to have more than enough deposited, so in the event that an emergency arose you would be covered.
The other accounts in your life, work the same way. When you extend love and grace to others, you are making a deposit. When you show yourself trustworthy and kind, you are making a deposit. When you forgive and forget, you are making a deposit. If you make deposits of peace, then you will have peace to get through the storms in your life. If you make deposits of joy, then you will have strength to endure the times that seem grim. If you make deposits of love… well the Word says that love never fails.
Time to inventory your accounts – spiritual, emotional, financial, relationship, health, etc. Are your accounts overflowing? Are they depleted? Are they overdrawn? Continually make the necessary deposits, so that you will have what you need when you need it!
