Ephesians 13:16-18 (NLT)
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.
As I woke up this morning I found myself thinking about the people of Nashville who have been affected by the flooding. As I laid there in bed I prayed. I thought about how the events of life can have a ripple effect. Destruction not only affects an individual but it affects a family and a community. Times of hardship can tear people apart or draw them closer together.
I continued to pray for people that I don’t even know personally, but I have read some of their stories and they were heavy on my heart. I prayed for Jenni and Lindsey and Trish. I am asking you to continue praying for our Nashville family…
Father, we pray for all who have been affected by the flooding in Nashville. We pray that you would strengthen and encourage them, physically and emotionally. We pray for natural (shelter, food, clothing, water, electricity) and financial (monies for relief and rebuilding) provision. We ask that You would provide Your wisdom to those who are in leadership and authority. Father, we pray that the love of Christ will be seen and experienced by all… In Jesus Name, Amen
