Praying for others

Philippians 1:9-11
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

Insight:  the ability to see clearly and intuitively into the nature of a complex person, situation or subject; the ability of someone to understand and find solutions to his or her personal problems.

There are tremendous struggles in this world today that are affecting many people.  Some are struggling with relationships, identity, health and finances just to name a few.  When I think of all the struggles and challenges I hear about, it can be overwhelming.  In the natural, I feel powerless.  But then I remember that I belong to and serve a big God.  Although I might not personally be able to solve each person’s problem or remove the struggle, I know a God with whom all things are possible.  Many times people just need a little INSIGHT and then the solution or steps to the solution become clearer.

Usually on Thursdays I post a prayer to encourage those reading.  But today, I want you to get involved in the praying.  I would like you to post a comment, praying for the person’s comment previous to yours and also list your prayer request.  We can all take the opportunity to pray for someone else and let someone pray for us.

  1. Yes, I'm participating too!

Father, I pray for all those who may be struggling today. I ask that You provide strength, encouragement, wisdom and insight. I ask that as they pray for others, You will bring them the answers that they need. May Your peace guard our hearts and minds as we fully trust in You. In Jesus Name, Amen!

  2. LORD, I pray also for those who are struggling…give them power to overcome. Fill them with your love and hope! And please pray for me that I might become more organized, fit and focused and I keep preparing myself for your kingdom work. Amen!!!!!!!

  3. In You we put our trust, hope and faith O King of Kings. Thank Your for Your power and energy that abides in us as we abide in You. Give us a greater sense of our identity in You and teach us what it is to abide in You and Your great love for us!

  4. Heavenly Father, It is with a heart of Thanksgiving that I pray. I am so thankful that You loved us so much that You sent Your Son Jesus, Our Lord and Savior who died on the cross so that we could be in relationship with You. That we could personally come into Your presence and ask for grace and mercy anytime that we need it. Father , I thank You that in any situation that I am in You give me Your peace that surpasses all understanding….that it mounts guard over my heart and my mind. May that peace touch the hearts of my fellow believers. Lord I love you….In Jesus Name, Amen.
