Present your request…

prayPhilippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Day 17 of the 28 Day Challenge

A couple of months ago my sister had surgery on her foot. A few weeks after her surgery we were talking about her going back to work. She was wondering how she was going to manage it all.  You see the building where she works is huge and she has to walk quite some distance from the entrance to the place where her offices are located. I asked her if the building had scooters to accommodate special circumstances.  She said that there are scooters in the building but they usually were not available to just anybody.

I thought to myself, my sister isn’t just anybody, she’s my sister.  So I said to her, “Let’s agree in prayer about it.” I just said a simple prayer asking God to open up an opportunity for my sister to have access to a scooter when she returned to work, something that would aid in her getting from one place to another within the expansive building where she works.

My sister and I have been playing phone tag for a few weeks now, however I did speak with her today. She informed me that she received a good report from her doctor that her foot is healing nicely.  My sister says, “Oh by the way I wanted to let you know I did get access to a scooter at work.” SCORE!!!  So we were both really excited and rejoicing in how God hears us and answers our prayers. Just another example of how His goodness shows up in everyday life.

I hope you realize how God cares about every detail of your life.  Whether you are dealing with a situation that seems enormous or one that seems insignificant, I know that God wants to be involved.  He wants you to ask Him for His help. He is willing and He is able, but it is up to you to present your requests…

Remember to be real…
