Grace has been misrepresented, misused, mishandled, and misguided. Why do I say that? Because most of the time we as selfish individuals want grace extended to us, but we do not know how to truly extend it to others. It is that catch 22, you know the one…you judge people based on your expectations, but judge yourself based on your intentions.
Many years ago I read this statement somewhere, “Release grace to others…relax and just love people for who they are.” It struck me in my heart, so much so, that I even entered it as my screen saver as a reminder. You may think that’s pretty silly, but it’s not. You see, I am naturally a “fix it” kind of girl. I like to fix procedures, processes and oh, did I mention people… So in all my fixing I probably became more annoying than helpful. That is until I realized that releasing grace and loving people helped me to see them through the Father’s eyes.
I am passionate about helping others be their best… coming alongside through coaching, teaching and mentoring ignites something deep within me. You see I honestly believe that there is greatness inside each and every person. Yes, we are fearfully and wonderfully made and we are valuable. I also believe that we are all created to help someone else. Our greatness, gifts, talents, grace is meant to be shared with someone else not kept to ourselves.
You know the saying, “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” It is so true! You and I can show just how much we care by releasing grace to others and loving them for who they are…
I want to hear from you… just click on comments and share a time when you extended grace or had grace extended to you and how that impacted the situation.
