Salvation… knowing Jesus

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.  – John 3:16-17

The Bible says that God so loved that He gave…

God loves YOU and He has provided a way for you to have a relationship with Him.  It is through and by His Son, Jesus Christ.  The good news is that The Bible says in Acts 2:21 and also in Romans 10:13, “… everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Everyone needs salvation because we have all sinned.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  – Romans 3:23

The price (consequence) of sin is death.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 6:23

Jesus Christ died for our sins.  He paid the price for our death.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  – Romans 5:8

We receive salvation and eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ

That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.  – Romans 10:9-10

Pray the following prayer out loud…

God I know that I have sinned and need salvation.  I understand that the consequence of sin is death, but Jesus Christ paid the price and died for my sins.  Today, I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I believe in my heart that God, You raised Him from the dead.  I receive His salvation now.  I have been forgiven of all my sins.  I am now saved and from this moment forward my life belongs to You.  I choose to serve You and fulfill the plans and purpose You have for my life.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Congratulations, now that you have made a decision to follow Christ, I encourage you to get a Bible to read and study.  Also, get connected to a church that believes in and teaches the Bible.

God Bless You!
