Turn on the light

Psalm 119:105 (NLT)
Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

Ouch! Have you ever experienced walking in the dark and stubbing your toe?  It can be very painful.  At times it’s not so bad and the pain subsides quickly.  At other times, it’s more serious —  bruising…bleeding…a broken toe.  The effects can linger on and on…  Only if there would have been some light, then you would not have stubbed your toe.

Similarly, we sometimes choose to go through life without turning on the light.  In the darkness we just try and feel our own way.  As a result, we encounter situations that can cause bruising, bleeding and even brokenness.  However, we can avoid those bumps in the dark, if we would just turn on the light!

What light is that you may ask?  The light of God’s Word is the light I am referring to.  The Word provides guidance for our journey.  The Word shines the light, so that we can walk safely and confidently on our path.  The Word can also bring healing from any damage caused when we chose to walk around in darkness.  It is simple just read the Word… study the Word… meditate on the Word…

The choice is yours… and I hope you choose to turn on the LIGHT!

Remember to be REAL…

  1. Amen!! It's very hard to keep good balance when walking in the dark. Thank God "The Word can also bring healing from any damage caused when we chose to walk around in darkness". God is so good to us!
