Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
What is hindering you?
What has you entangled?
Whatever it is… Now is the time to throw it off… cast it away… let it go!
You say: I want to, but I can’t… I’ve tried, but it’s just too hard…
Life may seem hard. You may feel like you are pressed in on every side. You may think you are the only one going through difficult times. Well let me assure you that you are not alone. There are others who are also experiencing the challenges of life.
According to the writer James, if you are facing trials and temptations, then consider it pure joy. In other words, change your perspective. It is not time to be down and sad. Nope! It’s time for a praise break!
Consider it wholly joyful, my brethern, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a through work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing. -James 1:2-4 (AMPC)
It has been said that the enemy always attacks those who are next in line for a promotion. It’s time to get excited about your life. That’s right YOUR LIFE! Your life has already been written in God’s book, so it is just a matter of you locating on which page you are (Psalm 139:16). The works that God has for you to accomplish are good (Ephesians 2:10). The plans God has for your life are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Jesus came so that you may have and enjoy life, a full life (John 10:10).
It is time to stop trying and start doing. You can be victorious rather than being a victim. How? You may ask. Fix your eyes on Jesus, follow His example. Jesus put the goal in front of His eyes…to sit down at the right hand of the throne of God. You have to keep your eyes focused (set) on the goal. What has God told you to do? Jesus was able to endure the cross because He kept His eyes locked on the goal. Oh what joy it would be to once again sit at the right hand of the Father…His Father…our Father…
There is a race that has been marked out just for you. Remember you have been assigned a specific lane, so stay in it. If you haven’t already, you must first start the race. You must run the race with perseverance, meaning you have to push through disappointment, weariness and pain. You must finish the race, stopping before you cross the finish line is not an option.
What has God asked you to accomplish before the end of the year? Be obedient and get it done!
I am praying for you… You are UNSTOPPABLE!
Remember to be REAL…
