What’s that fragrance…

…Triumph

2 Corinthians 2:14-15
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.  For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.

I enjoy opening up the windows on a nice Spring day allowing the fresh air to bring newness into the house.  There is also the smell of beautiful flowers beginning to bloom.  I take a deep breath and sigh… oh how wonderful it is to be alive!  I’m excited about the new season and what’s to come.  Oh, the possibilities…

I take a moment to thank God for all He has done…is doing…and will continue to do in my life.  His Word says He always leads us in triumph in Christ.  I get excited about that because, I must admit, I do like to win.  And as I continue reading His Word, it goes on to say, “and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”  I feel so honored that God would use me to diffuse…spread…scatter His knowledge everywhere I go.

Then I think, yikes, how do I smell today?  I want to be a sweet smelling fragrance not an odorous stench.  I begin to feel the pressure I can sometimes heap on myself.  Then He gently whispers… “just choose to love…”  He has made it so simple!  All I have to do is choose to love [like He loves] everywhere I go and I will be the sweet smelling fragrance of Christ.

Again, I take a deep breath and sigh… oh how wonderful it is to be alive!

Remember to be REAL…
